What is Aloe Vera?
The Aloe Vera is a plant famous for its medicinal, cosmetological, and culinary virtues. It is cultivated everywhere in the world, so much that its benefits are exceptional.

The leaves of the Aloe Vera plant store water, allowing them to make a clear substance with a texture similar to a gel and which contains vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, and amino acids. Aloe Vera gel is excellent for the skin, it has properties that are anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and cell regenerating.
The gel is particularly effective for the eye contour area and helps to reduce dark circles and puffiness. The Aloe Vera is thus applied on the face, but also the whole surface of the body and the hair.
Let's take a closer look at its properties.
What are the Aloe Vera’s properties?
Aloe Vera cures sunburn
This is its most well-known use! Thanks to its highly moisturizing, and therefore healing properties, Aloe Vera treats first and second degree burnt skin. Research has shown that Aloe Vera contains moisturizing and anti-inflammatory components, which inevitably help the skin's repair process, and antioxidants, including one protein, in particular, metallothionein, which protects skin that has been exposed to the sun's rays.
All of these properties give you an excellent remedy for sunburn, and even an excellent after-sun, so that you also have beautiful, smooth, golden skin (even if you are not advised to expose yourself too much to the sun).
In addition, thanks to its antioxidant base, Aloe Vera helps reduce and prevent black spots on the skin, especially the one due to the sun and the scars it leaves behind.
Aloe Vera has excellent moisturizing properties
As explained above, the Aloe Vera plant is gorged with water. It also contains sugars that help retain moisture in the skin, thereby increasing the amount of water present in the skin. The Aloe Vera is thus ultra-moisturizing and is perfectly appropriate for very dry skins.
The gel also does not leave a sticky feeling on the skin.
Aloe Vera treats acne
Aloe Vera has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that help fight acne, whether inflammatory or not. Besides, Aloe Vera is a natural source of salicylic acid, an exfoliant that helps cleanse pores and prevents the appearance of blackheads and pimples.
Aloe Vera as an anti-wrinkle product
We know that for healthy skin that is well prepared to face the signs of aging, there is no secret, it must be moisturized. In addition to the fact that it moisturizes and retains water on the skin, and thus stimulates its self-hydration, Aloe Vera helps in the production of the skin's elastic fibers, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. A daily application helps to plump the skin and prevent the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
In the same vein, Aloe Vera also helps to reduce stretch marks.
Aloe Vera calms skin problems
Skin problems such as psoriasis and eczema cause inflammation and destroy the skin's natural protective barrier. In addition, a skin deprived of its natural defenses is more prone to fungal and bacterial infections. Aloe Vera relieves irritation and reduces redness, and acts as an antiseptic against fungi, bacteria and other viruses. It accelerates the repair and healing of the skin by creating antibodies that our immune system needs, to fight all these joys. It is used against herpes and dandruff as well.
As you can see, its applications are numerous, but we have only gathered the main ones here.

The purer the Aloe Vera gel, the better. The less it is, the more it will contain additives, preservatives, colorants, or other flavors. These ingredients considerably reduce its effectiveness.
Note that there is no gel containing 100% Aloe Vera.
By now, you will have understood it, the Aloe Vera gel is really an excellent product to have at home, with its numerous benefits.
And do you know what the good news is? You can find it in our revitalizing eye cream!!
