To make up the green, blue or brown eyes, it is necessary to choose a makeup colour adapted to sublimate your eyes. It seems logical to match the colour of your clothes with the right colours, isn’t it? It's the same for your eyes. The colour of your eye shadow will bring out the colour and shades of your green, blue or brown eyes.

Blue eyes don't wear makeup the same way as green eyes or brown eyes do. To avoid making mistakes, find all our tips for making up your eyes according to the colour of your iris.

Here are some tips to sublimate your face according to your iris:

Blue eyes:

To properly make up blue eyes, choose colours in yellow and orange tones. Gold, saffron, lemon, peach, taupe, brown or mocha eye shadows are yours.

  • To highlight your beautiful blue eyes, avoid tone on tone at all costs but if blue really attracts you, choose it dark: midnight blue, blue-violet/purple.

Brown eyes:

Everything agrees with this colour of iris. Green tones, yellow, orange or red tones sublimate your eyes.

  • You should just avoid the too dark smoky-eyes because it risks extinguishing your eyes instead of enhancing them. Try pimping it up with another colour like grey or khaki.

Green eyes:

Apply orange, red or purple tones. Use and abuse pink, brown, copper tones, or purples, lavenders and other plums colours.

  • As with blue eyes, avoid tones that are too close to green like blue-green.

Smokey eyes:

To know more about it, the smoky-eyes is a colour gradient makeup. In a glittery version for special occasions or rather in an everyday version, smoky is a make-up essential to master. For any smoky, the gradient begins with a lighter colour stretching across the surface. This will be partly covered by a darker makeup to intensify the look. The idea is that the dark colour sits close to your eyelashes and the lighter one illuminates your eyelid.

Then, with a suitable makeup brush, the blending brush, you will lightly blend the two colours where they intersect.

Depending on the colour of the eyes, we degrade different colours for a very nice result.

For blue eyes:

It is better to avoid the ultra-dark smoky eye. Blue eyes will prefer warm colours like brown, bronze or beige to intensify the look.

For brown eyes:

For a beautiful smoky-eyes, brown eyes can choose green, black or gold. As with everyday eye makeup, brown eyes can afford anything. Lucky you!

For green eyes:

With green eyes, a colour in plum and red tones is chosen. Many colour gradients in these tones are possible.

Obviously, eye shadow is not your only ally to make up your eyes according to their colour.

Eyeliner, mascara and eye pencil also come in different colours that you can adapt to intensify your eyes and bring out the beauty of it.

Be careful though not to mix too many colours all together.

The right ratio: to restrict to 4 colours to avoid the effect "too much"!
