Summer is ending soon, and you’re going to throw your sunscreen or let it in a drawer until next year, with few probabilities of using it again?
We tend to wear sunscreen only when our feet are treading on the sand and a bathing suit is hidden under our clothes. Big mistake.
We'll explain why sun protection is necessary all year round.

APPEARANCES CAN BE DECEPTIVE
While many of you wear sunscreen during the summer months, you should in reality wear it every day of the year – when there’s the sun or when it’s raining.
Just as the sun's rays seem invisible when it's cloudy, don't imagine that your skin is only UV-damaged if you're sunburned.
NO SEASON FOR UV!
At the end of the summer and the return to work, we got rid of our sun creams... A bad reflex! Because if the sun hits less in October, it is still harmful to the skin. While UVB rays are indeed weaker in autumn, UVA rays - responsible for wrinkles and skin aging - are just as powerful in November as they are in the middle of July. Having a coffee on the terrace without sunscreen can be as bad as sitting in the sun by the pool in the summer.
THE RIGHT FORMULATION OF AN AUTUMN SUN CREAM
You can of course reuse (or finish) your summer sunscreen. But protection 50 is not necessarily necessary. You choose protection with a minimum SPF 30 and check that it is effective against UVA and UVB rays. The ideal fall sunscreen should contain moisturizing agents such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid, which will provide comfort and suppleness to the skin in these cold and humid times. As well as antioxidants and vitamins C or E, active ingredients that will help in the fight against skin aging.
ADAPT IT TO YOUR LIFESTYLE
Of course, You have to adapt your needs to your lifestyle and phototype.
For example, a fair-skinned person who works outdoors should protect themselves every day, even in winter, even on cloudy days. Generally speaking, as soon as you have to stay outside, you should take care to protect yourself from UV rays whatever the season is. You should also be careful indoors if your office is located near a bay window, for example, because UVA rays, responsible for accelerated skin aging, pass through glass.
WHAT ABOUT COSMETICS WITH SPF?
Care products with a sun protection factor are a good complement to the use of sun cream. They reinforce its action, as does the application of make-up over the sun cream: this creates an additional barrier that prevents the rays from passing through. But only a well-applied sun cream actively penetrates the skin and provides effective protection from the sun's rays during prolonged exposure.
So why not take 15 seconds every morning to apply sunscreen?
Do you still hesitate to put sunscreen on your face every day?
If so, I invite you to look at the areas of your body that are least exposed to the sun. What do you notice? They are firmer and less wrinkled. Isn’t that a good reason to start putting on some sunscreen?
And you, do you only apply sunscreen during the summer season? Or do you apply it every day?
